• Open time: You can visit the Odori venue without time restrictions. Light-up time is ~10 pm. The ice sculptures lining the main street of the Susukino venue will be illuminated from ~11 pm (~10 pm on the last day).

2. Jozankei Onsen Yukitouro Festival (Snow Candle Way)

*Admission starts at 5:20 pm. The lights will be turned on from 5:40 pm.

3.  Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival

4. Sounkyo Onsen Ice Fall Festival

5.  Hirosaki Castle Snow Lantern Festival

Hirosaki Castle Snow Lantern Festival is an annual celebration that transforms Hirosaki in Aomori Prefecture into a snowy wonderland. 6. Aizu Painted Candle Festival

A night visit to Tsuruga Castle costs 410 yen for adults and 150 yen for children.

7. Yokote Snow Festival

8. Zao Juhyo Festival

Location: Zao Ropeway Jizo Sancho Station and around the Sancho Line (Zao Ropeway ride).

Ropeway round trip fee (admission fee): Adults (junior high school students and above) 3,800 yen. Child (elementary school student) 1,900 yen.

9. Tsunan Snow Festival

10. Namahage Sedo Festival (Ancient folklore and a winter’s tale)
