“ Arriving at Kyubi Spirit Lodge in Niseko, I fell into a deep sleep. The following morning, I woke up to a serene scene: sitting by the window, watching the last snowflakes of the season gently fall outside. The window beside the makeup table and pale green tatami mat invited peaceful contemplation. Lying down, I pressed my cheek against the cool glass, counting the romantic descent of millions of snowflakes.”
